Former jewelry store owner and Main Street real estate developer Edwin H. Cohen died Saturday evening in his Pittsford home. He was 82. Mr. Cohen is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis, and a daughter, Lisa Cohen-Welles. The second phase of the Emirates Garden real estate development is progressing well and near completion for its structural work. Emirates Garden will eventually offer studio, 1 and 2-bedroom apartments amongst a waterside setting with walkways and cycle trails through the surrounding gardens for residents to enjoy. DAMAC Properties intend to hand over more than 7,100 units to customers in the next 2 years in Dubai and Phase One of Emirates Gardens will contribute more than 500 of these.

The company’s assets jumped to QR24bn in 2008 compared to QR15.6bn in 2007 and equity rights increased by 150 percent to reach QR4.77bn in 2008 compared to QR3.22bn in 2007.
